Why choose printed glassware?

There are many reasons why you may choose printed glassware as your next promotional product.

Longevity

Printed glassware is likely to stick around for a while. A good quality glass is likely to be kept and used for years.

Create lasting impressions

If you have a bar or a club, printed glassware that is used to serve drinks creates a professional image and helps to promote your brand during every sip.

A practical item

It’s an item that’s likely to be used over and over again. At home, at the bar, in a club.

Something special

Printed glassware can also be used as a personal gift to enjoy, for example as a commemorative item for weddings, parties, leaving presents or awards ceremonies.

Printed glassware is highly customisable

Glassware is one of the most customisable promotional products out there. The sky is the limit with designs and print techniques, so get inspired and unleash your creative side!

What size printed glass should I choose?

Think about your audience and pick the right branded glass to match. From the classic pint glass to the lead cut crystal goblet, you can tailor your glass to the recipient.

Pint Glass

Cost effective and useful, the standard pint glass is ideal for ales and lagers. We’ve recently used the pint glass in our latest campaign to appeal to a wide audience.

Beer Glass or ‘Schooner’ Glass

These Stelara beer glasses feature a classic tulip shape and are commonly used for craft beers.

Tankard

The glass tankard is simple, yet elegant and features a large area for engraving. This looks great as a commemorative item.

Crystal

Glencoe lead crystal glasses feature diamond cut detail. Choose from champagne flute, goblet, high ball, or decanter for that extra special gift.

Whisky Tumbler

The perfect gift for the whisky lover, this tumbler is both durable enough to use or to store in a cabinet as a display item.

Wine Glass

The classic wine glass is both useful and special enough to use either every day or for a commemorative item.

Gin glass

The gin balloon is an elegant way of serving this popular aperitif. It makes for a special gift and this particular product is presented in a satin-lined box.

Who chooses printed glassware?

Pubs, Bars and Hotels

A branded beer glass at in the hospitality industry isn’t a new concept. Serving your drink in a glass that complements the beverage provides subtle advertising.

Breweries or Distilleries

Many independent breweries and distilleries now sell their own glassware either to use in bars and pubs to serve drinks in, or as merchandise to buy in their stores or online.

Festivals

Festivals often supply their own printed glassware, usually a tumbler in plastic material for safety or wheat straw for a more organic effect.

Golf Clubs

Commemorative glassware is a common gift idea for golf clubs. Engrave tankards, crystal glass or decanters for a special gift or award that will be treasured.

Corporate events or Parties

Create a professional image at meetings, events or product launches with glassware featuring a company logo. Food and drink events or wine tasting evenings are the ideal environment to feature your brand.

Weddings

If you are looking for a commemorative item for your special day, try personalising champagne glasses using etched techniques for a keepsake or favour.

How do you personalise glassware?

There are multiple techniques that can be used to personalise your glassware including printing, etching and engraving. Depending on the finish you are looking for, choose any of these techniques to personalise your glass.

Transfer Print

Use bold colours to make your brand really pop with the drink of choice. Align your brand and the colour of your drink. Think about what colours work best against beer, gin or wine so your logo doesn’t get lost when holding the drink. Full wraparound print may also be used to decorate your glass.

Engraved

Sandblast engraving involves ablating the glass to customise. Your artwork is transferred to a stencil and the process involves using sand that is fired at the glass under high pressure to expose the image or lettering.

Laser engraving can prove more flexible and accurate, especially if you have a photo, a highly detailed image or lettering to add your glass.

Etched

Etching glass is a technique that involves using chemicals that scratch the surface of the glass to give it a frosted appearance. It’s more subtle than printing and you can create a variety of elegant looks by using this technique for your logo or message.

Please consult us if you are unsure which print method would look best for your glassware.
